Loved our stay. Beautiful rooms and grounds. Staff was friendly and always helpful.
We loved our stay. Family of four plus grandparents. Rooms very lovely, the grounds and the beach are properly maintained, staff was super nice. Very easy to stay and enjoy the vacation.
The restaurant is reasonable and enjoyable but there are better places to eat in town. Just that they were always a taxi away for us so a bit more complicated.

What was the highlight of Palapas del Sol Hotel
The perfect escape from a rountinely and chaotic reality
Amazing views, with very comfortable and clean facilities. The staff is super nice (especially Agustin and Gaspar) and are very detailed oriented (it was my mom’s birthday and they decorated the room accordingly, also everyday we would come back and there would be figures made with the towels, like little elefants, etc.) Landscapes right in front of the hotel are amazing and food is really good. If you are a foreigner, please try the Mexican dishes on the menu as they are not spicy at all but really flavourful, and if you are Mexican, ask for the Habanero sauce!

What was the highlight of Palapas del Sol Hotel
Overall, comfortable stay with great views however lacks in some room comforts/privacy and food quality. My opinion
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Daily room service did a great job and room was well kept The fitness center was excellent. Room was nice and balcony was great with beautiful view. Staff did a great job maintaining the beach. It’s 15 min walk away from the main center. Some people don’t like this but we love walking and, at least for this time of year, meant it was pretty quiet and peaceful.
You can’t really ensure privacy in the rooms. The way the doors are constructed, you can easily see straight through to the bed even when the vents are closed. (Hopefully no one was that interested but still, decreased my ability to relax). Had a few issues with ants (I dealt with myself). The restaurant was unfortunately subpar. While staff was quick with order and cleaning, food was not really that good. The guacamole was “ok” not bad but for us not worth ordering unless we needed a snack quickly. The breakfasts were the same. They were included in the price so we ate it but not sure I’d choose to order it if town was closer. Lastly my biggest potential issue. The ceviche. (this is pure suspicion based on presentation, texture and taste) I’m pretty sure the shrimp were frozen. Not usually THAT big of an issue but on an island it was disappointing to receive.
